WANT TO BUY A AMD AM3 P.II
IVE BEEN READING ABOUT TWO M.BOARDS
ASUS AND GIGABYTE
PRICE RANGE $100.00 AROUND
I’m going to be getting the parts for my new comp build this weekend and the motherboard I was planning on getting was this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc…-423-_-Product
my build will be
i7 950
ddr3 6gb
gtx 460
I do plan on overclocking
I just wanted to make sure first that this is a good board and if you guys would recommend anything else before I purchased it.
Thanks a lot!
I’ve had no instabilities on my system so these obviously can’t be correct. Since both programs report this error I’m assuming the 3rd temp sensor is broken.
Does anyone know what this sensor corresponds to (SB, ambient, etc.)? My motherboard is an ASUS M4A77T if that helps.
Thanks.
Parts of this ’server’ are beginning to fail, and the company has asked me to replace it. My first thought is that they don’t need a ’server’ that would be built from Dell, HP, etc.. As they are a very small company, with maybe 8 employees.
My initial plan is to build a PC with two hard drives, and either a motherboard with RAID capabilities or a RAID card attachment(Not sure of the pros/cons of this, any advice is appreciated).
I’ve never built a server, but I’ve built plenty of desktop PCs. I’d assume most places you build a server are only offering the latest tech, which IMO they don’t need.
Bottom Line:
Does this plan make sense? Build them a ‘PC’ with a RAID-1 stripe over two drives, give them any basic OS — perhaps XP or whatever is available for licensing currently. Obviously the program’s compatibility would be important to note.
First time building a ’server’, so wanted to bang this idea off a few more experienced people here. Any advice or feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks guys.
And as i can get more gift certs but cant currently get anymore cash, im a bit stuck.
so looking at around $100 for the mobo came up with these choices
first two are msi, ones LGA 1156, the others am3 and have what i want, (preferably AM3) and lga1156 one looks quite nice but is MATX, on the am3 ddr3 is limited to 1600 which is also why i’m having trouble deciding
http://www.amazon.com/MSI-LGA1156-4D…d=D901TUOBIBXD
http://www.amazon.com/MSI-NVIDIA-nFo…d=D901TUOBIBXD
These two are gigabyte and ASUS both brands i trust and have, unlike MSI, both have what i need but lack crossfire or SLI and have a PCI-E X4 as well as the 16.
http://www.amazon.com/Asus-M4A785TD-…d=D901TUOBIBXD
http://www.amazon.com/785G-MAX-16GB-…d=D901TUOBIBXD
so what would you choose? MSI with everthing or sacrafice one thing for something that is tried and tested.
thanks.
my new one is a pentium 4 3.0 ghz/im/800 ive already put it in and when i turn the computer on it gets to the acer screen and then freezes whithout even going through the dos setup so im wondering if the cpu (the one i got off ebay)could be cactus ??? or would it require drivers for this new cpu??? or is it not compztible with my mother board contrary to what ive read elswhere….. ive icluded some specs from pc wizard here

My Acer Aspire X1700 was working marvelously until this morning. I turn it on and hear the fan, see the power light – and this is the state in remains in forever. No monitor action what-so-ever. The Monitor is not the problem because I checked that out. It seems that Acer has had a similar problem with their Acer Aspire One laptops, but for that there is a simple patch download. After trying a couple things I am pretty sure that the mother board is just dead all of the sudden. Is this theory correct? I want to try all options before I buy a new motherboard or take it to the PC guy down the road.
My motherboard is broken and because of that i get this screen http://tinypic.com/r/rw114y/4
Can i fix it some how with out buying a new motherboard or if its not a motherboard problem whati have to do to fix it???

PLEASE HELP.
2X Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 GPU’s in crossfire,
8GB (4X2GB) of Corsair 1333 DDR3,
Windows 64bit,
and the Corsair TX 750W PSU.
I am looking to spend $100-190 on a good bang for buck Motherboard.
I have been looking at the ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 Motherboard, and the higher and lower models. Is this a good choice? Also, in the VGA section of the specifications for ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 Motherboard it said "Maximum shared memory of 1GB" in the list:confused:. Does this mean it won’t support the 2X Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 GPU’s in crossfire? One other thing, I need a computer with wireless internet, does this motherboard have wireless internet inbuilt? If not how do I get Wireless Internet?
Thanks heaps for your time.:)
hope someone have any advise for me, if u need more info just tell me.
…….I have a TOSHIBA A75-S229 (PSA70U-00E00G) laptop….Motherboard bad…Waiting for replacement….
….From the display are 2 wires 1 BLACK and 1 WHITE that disappear through a hole centrally located in the case….(they are not the ribbon connectors but, resemble a "snap/slide-on" METALLIC connector of sorts)….
…. While disassembling, the wires popped off their designated place on the motherboard…
…..WHERE (circuit designation or pict or schematic) do these wires connect as there also appears to possibly be a polarity for them?….I THINK I have located the area/connection point(s) but, need better magnification…..THANKS
I just brought a new computer, but it is not working :(
This is what i did :
1. Install the cpu on the mobo
2. Install the cpu cooler
3. Install the ram
4. Install the mobo on the case
4b. Screw
5. Install the Hard drive
6. Install the Optical Drive
7. Install the GPU
7. Install the PSU
8. Keyboard and mouse
9. Connect the 24 pin of the PSU on the mobo
10. Connect the PSU to a source
And disappointedly, no response…
These r my specs :

If you are oppressed by where to find high-efficiency software as what I did three days ago, I tell you an unexpected news that I have found iPad Manager . It is of great use for you to manage files between iPad and PC. You can manage music from iPad to PC . You can manage music from PC to iPad as well. In addition, you can manage videos from PC to iPad . In a word, it is really of great use.
Thanks

Building a friend a computer, only problem I’m having is no image on the monitor..so pritty big problem :P
I’ve tried different monitors, different vga cables and different gfx card both in the 2 difference pcie slots. So as far as i can tell it only option left is the motherboard? There is no beeping all the lights on the motherboard turn on all the fans work so everything is receiving power. Is there a possibility there is something else causing this?
Thankyou
Matt
I would like it to have good reviews and be not to crazy expensive. I have 2 GTX 465’s and would like to have the option to add another one and need a good board to run at least 2 slots at 16x and the rest at 8 or better.
Thanks in advance :)
Pentium 4 2.66 –> 3.2 HT
2GB DDR 400
500GB Sata I
AGP ATI 4650
do u think the graphics could be preventing it from starting (I need to attach a Molex to give it juice) as my PS isnt all that strong i think 350 or 400 watts, but then again does the P4 HT need more juice then a P4 to the point that it cant start?
I want use Nvidia….What motherboard must I use?
